Best snow in years, shortest ride in a long time

Blue bird powder measured in feet, the wait is over, best ride in a long, long time. Having the time of my life carving powder, putting my XM to the test, and then it happened.....my riding buddy's sled grenades about 2 hours in and the rest of the day is towing it back out and returning home.

Still, I got a couple hours of glorious deep powder. Better than nothing I guess.

Good question.

And what exactly happened to your buddy's sled? What type of sled is it? Is it a problem the rest of us should watch out for?

Near McCall. Snow was deep and fresh especially in the shady spots. His sled was older. 1998 summit that was running like clockwork. Paperweight now.

Managed to bury my XM 154 to the windshield at one point.

we had a short ride as well. it was only 4 hours. but we managed to burn a complete tank of gas and barely make it back to the truck in 40 miles. my sled is running on fumes because i had it pinned all day! it was awesome!
