Best snow found in northern utah

everywhere I have been has been fun but very low and very dangerous wit h al lthe rocks and stumps.

Always looking for more riding buddies! I live in Syracuse! ever go to Monte?

I think the north slope has the best base and is likely the safest. We had a good ride in the top of AF two weeks ago but last sat it was a minefield and there were casualties.

How is your arm? When you planning on riding again, and where?

Come on guys.

Not looking for the exact spots just hoping for some good news about somewhere in Northern Utah.

I have had some good rides up Farmington but I have been so careful that it takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Maybe we will get enough snow soon that it will all be good.

Headed to Island Park Monday. There is not really enough snow up there either.

I would not come to island park it is more dangerous here than in utah from what i have seen. Wy is the ticket

We are not just going to ride, a fellow Snowest rider that we met a few years ago riding Jefferson has very generously offered us his cabin for the week, so we can do some planning with our Church staff. The riding is just a big bonus.

Monte is ok. You could try up Logan Canyon. Even into South Eastern Idaho, Bloomington, Paris, or Cub River. All are a blast when there is enough snow.

If you go by the Snotel then your best choice would be Tony's. They got almost a foot (so it says) out of this storm.

Have fun whereever you end up going Chuck.

I see that Tony looks pretty good, Farmington looks pretty good, probably Gaurdsman, Chalk Creek, the only places I have been this year are Monte and Farmington.

Both were fine for a first ride but neither were fine for this time of the year.

Looks like Island Park only picked up a couple of inches yesterday.

There are snotels in this state that doubled that amount... dont worry I will post pics of epic pow after the weekend :D

Also remember, Tonys snotel is at the lake, and all the riding is 1000 higher than the lake! :p also remember all the rocks up there are 4-5 feet tall...

As stated Tony's needs at least 50-60 " to be safe. The rocks up there are HUGE. We went up to Monte and the road was goomed but getting off the road you were taking you chances. Let's hope this next storm puts down some more snow. We sure do need it.

X3 on waiting for Tony's, it has some of the best riding around here but takes alot of snow to get it there.

Hey lolly pop, isnt it about time you changed your name? May I suggest "igotsyphaliss", or "therashwillonlylastaweek", lol!!!:D

Chuck, Monte was lame. Tony's needs atleast 60" to be safe. However, there is some good riding up Franklin when the snow is weak.

I have never been to Franklin.

Not even sure how you get there.

Probably going up Farmington again in the morning.

I have got to be very careful so I do not mess up my trip for next week.
