Best snow conditions right now?

I have a couple of friends coming in next week from out of state and Im taking them up riding for 4 days. Who has the best snow right now. Im looking at R.E., vail, corona, Jefferson. Any one been lately to these areas to give me a snow report? Thanks.

I'd probably hit RE, Vail is likely to be tracked out unless there is another storm.

RE was pretty nice yesterday. A fresh foot on Firday left plenty of untracked snow if you look for it. Buff pass was also nice. I'll update on Vail since I will be up there for the rest of the week.

No go Vail Pass

I rode all of Vail Pass today and there is nothing of value up there, unless your friends from out of town want to just go fast, as there is a ton of rock hard fast snow up there.

Oh and there is some super rotten crap near the interstate too.

But hell it was beautiful up there today.

I'm staying in BV tonight and planning on riding Cottonwood pass or somewhere around there tomorrow.

Cottonwood is played

Snow at Cottonwood and Taylor Reservoir is really, really rotten. Talked to the guy at the Taylor gas station and he said the temps never got below freezing last night.

Nice touring though, if that's your or your friends' cup of tea.

Attached a little Google Earth file of the ride, compliments of SPOT.

Didn't make it to Teacup, the snow was so slushy on the way into Taylor I wanted to stick to a road I knew.

I think all of Colorado needs a couple of feet of snow...
