Best powder track

Guys I have a bet with friends,In powder ONLY which track is the best???Choices are Maverick or Challenger. This is assuming equal width and length, everything the same just diffrent styles. Thanks guys.

Real riding comparisons appreciated only,no opinions please!!!!Thanks

Believe it or not I have a 2.4" Polaris track that is absolutely amassing in powder but a bit soft in more set up stuff , real solid paddles with soft tips sure works pow though. What can I say I got a good deal on it and it works:D

I run a Challenger 155" soft paddle track....unbelievable in the pow
not very good on the hard pack though,,,too soft

Maverick is too hard for really hauling slopes in the deep..a bit of a trencher

Polaris definitely have a great pow track...just put the 154" on the new XP

I run the stock maverick on my nytro and it is awesome in the deep, I don't know what everyone is complaining about, I could climb anything in 2 to 3 feet of powder with ease. The only thing that would stop me was how steep the hill got, because the machine wanted to come over backwards.
Seems like a great track, the lugs are straight and it pulls hard, I am in no rush to upgrade my track!

Bin der, dun dat. Ran the Maverick for a season and a half, was suspicious of its performance, switched to Camoplast, and was instantly aware of how substandard the Maverick performed with same rider, same sled, same conditions in day to day, in all conditions. If you're happy with performance of the Maverick you'll be ecstatic with the Camo. Well worth the switch, plus it won't be slowly puking the lugs off constantly.
No bones to pick, just had em both, absolutley no contest.

Maverick seemed pretty good when new but over time paddles were all bent over and I seemed to be spinning badly out of the hole. Switched to the Camo Extreme and could'nt believe the difference it made-way better!

so WTF am I to do with this brand new track?

I had the Maverick out in about 5 ft of pow yesterday and was pretty disappointed. It seems great in 2-3 feet but any more than that and it seems to be heavily taxed by climbing in deep pow, even on slopes that are not that steep...

So what to do with this piece of junk with 200 miles on it when I get an extreme? I'm sad that my new sled came with this track and I have to spend 600 bucks just to keep myself out of trouble...

I just put 2" #8 screws in mine hopefully that will improve it enough to last the season then I will replace, couldn,t see throwing away a new track and spending $600-$700 with out getting some use out of it.

The MAV is really a cross over track, a mix of hard fingers and soft paddles, they are trying to get the best of both worlds, it is OK that is about it --- one really should not compare it to a full on powder track although it comes on a mountain sled :(
There is no good way to describe it Yamaha f--d up with that track:eek::eek:

had maverick... now have camo extreme
believe me i did the research, talked to the people and saved the money, thought i made a good decision and bought a good track however less than 400 miles later the maverick is off the sled! and replaced with a camo extreme.

sure the camo hooks up better, and just finds more traction, but the real issue with the maverick is durabilty. Lugs should not rip tear and pull off in under 300 miles. As we all know the lugs were designed to bend, i'm pretty sure what happens is they're stressed to the point of failure (under designed!) all of the tears in my lugs were in the front base of the lug, some tore some ripped. and this was running the sled in real good snow conditions!

lesson learned!
pay the money and do it once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
