I know this has been talked about but I wanted to find out a little more.. What is the best aftermarket belt? I'm not payin $180 for polaris belts anymore. Should I run the Dayco xtx5020, Carlisle xs809, the cat 048 or anything you guys know about?? Thanks

I haven't run the others, but I've been running the carlisle for probably 3 or more years on my sled and my wife's. I run them for about 1500 miles and then replace.

The only issue I have ever had was recently I hit it with a wire brush and pulled a string out, so I fixed it as best I could, went about 50 miles then blew all the cooling fins off, actually still worked though. That was mostly my fault for pulling a string out though, will probably just clean up with sand paper from now on.

Over all very happy with the performance, I think I can get them at my dealer for like 89 bucks or close to it.

Tried them all and the Cat 0627-O48 is working the best for me. Polaris pulls strings, Carlsle grenades and takes out foot rest, and the Dayco was similar to Polaris but blew up quicker after the first cords pulled.

1200 kms on Cat belt this season and looks good. To be fair it is geared down 10% and has Carls clutching with Dalton weights this year.

Comparing my current 2014 Pro 800 to a 13 I had last year and the 2013 Pro 600 I still have.

Im running the dayco xtx and im happy with it. I tried a gates and blew it to pieces in 200 miles i havent tried any other brands but i get about 600-800 miles out of the xtx which is good for me. Polaris belts last a bit longer but not worth the 180 imo.

I just ordered the xs809 belt to try. Some of the turbo guys been using that belt and get 400-800 miles out of them. Turbo application on the stock poo belt lasts about the same. Usually see cord pull after about 400-500 miles.

Just got a Carlisle, can't wait to try it out this weekend. Can't beat that warranty!

I have a 13 800 rmk assault 155, been running a dayco xtx 5020 for about 500 hard trail miles before my wyoming trip this month, looks like new even after a lot of hard braking/hard acceleration on the trails. My pops has put up to 3200 trail miles on his dayco xtx in one season, requiring only two adjustments throughout that time. I know trail riding doesnt count, but just sharing my experiences..........
