Hey thanks for talking to me like I'm and idiot, appreciate that. My hyfax got hot and they melted it happens Im thrilled it happened but whatever **** happens I know when it happened and why, Got on a fresh groomed trail after the temp dropped significantly and it was hard and glassy smooth. Had the scratchers down I always do, we were maybe running down the trail harder than we maybe should have been. For the record I have had countless sleds that the whole time I owned them I never replaced the slides even once. All I was wondering is if there was a particular hyfax that any had had better luck with than others. If your hyfax are worn out after one ride, then you're either running the sled where it shouldn't be (significant stretches with no snow), or you never put the scratchers down (not sure if those come with new sleds, but they should). My old sled is hard on slides, but we're talking about three sets in the time I've owned it, not regular replacement. The ones that came with the "new" Pro still look great; maybe it's the sled, maybe it's more off-trail miles, or maybe just better discipline on putting scratchers down. I'd put another OE set on it, and install and use ice scratchers. Done right, there's a good chance you sell the sled with those slides still on it.
