Best can for 2011/2012 pro???

Looking for feedback on which can would be best for the Polaris Pro. I have been talking to area dealers - best answer I can get it that the BMP and SLP are the only cans that will not lose horsepower - but still maintain the proper CFM flow characteristics of the stock set up.

I looked for a long time for dyno and test sheets for any/all cans - not really much out there to base a decision on.

Looking for a can that is not obnoxious - but gives a descent sound.

I like the skinz super q - but have some reservations about it. My nephew had a 2009 dragon that he put a skinz can on two years ago. Sled burned down 5 times. Most mileage on motor was approximately 130 miles. Dealer went through his sled - one time completely new including all electircal - still the same result. Finally changed can - end of story - no more motor problems. He is running a super q on his pro. Sled has 700 hard miles - no issues.

Looking for opinions and information on where to gather testing results - any input would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Pat

Bikeman or SLP are the ones I would recommend. My personal experience has been with SLP and both pro 800's have had SLP and the sleds have run flawless no buzzing or bogs work at low altitude and high. The one can is now on my daughter's 2012 600 RMK and she has 300 miles on it, no issues! That can came off my Assault RMK(2011)and has been on the 600 since I got it home and she loves that sled!
Just my $0.02

I've got an hps on the way after hearing a pro with an hps this week

Has a bark, but not annoying. And a deep tone.... Doesn't sound like a little dirtbike

I have MBRP on mine not too loud but nice bark when WFO leaned over to the left.No engine running issues.had HPS on my D800 but more spendy for one of those up here in Canada

MBRP

300+ miles on the MBRP can with no issues, nice and quiet until you open it up,still not excessively loud though
works for me in both MTN's and flatland

The Thing

Try either The Thing or the Cooker Thing from Al at the SledShed in Revelstoke.
Awesome sound, makes horsepower and when Al builds them he monitors the flow rates. www.thesledshed.ca

I'm a big fan of the SPG and SLP silencers... very high quality and a good sound...about 5 lbs off for the SPG... About 4.5 for the SLP.

They both have a great sound to them but are not obnoxious.

There is no power to be had from a "Can only" upgrade on the PRO RMK... they DO drop some weight and free up some space... especially the HPS.

It is unfortunate your nephews luck with his Dragon.... I ran the same can on my Dragon and had zero issues with it. great sound... good weight drop.

I have 2 brand new Precision-performance cans I will sell to anyone that wants them. Been running one of these cans for 500 miles with no problems. PM me for more info.
