Where have you guys stayed and which cabins do you think are the best near Petersville? We live in Soldotna and plan on going up there on the last weekend in Feb. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have some friends that usually stay at Kenny Creek Lodge when they go up there. They have nothing but good things to say about them.

I too have stayed at Kenny Creek and it was great. Nice people and nice place.
Kenny Creek Lodge is cool. The cabins aren't much, just three bunk beds and a table, but they do have the lodge for food and beverages so you don't have to haul a bunch in.
Gate Creek Cabins you can drive to and they have larger cabins with your own kitchen, bathroom, etc. If you are taking a family this might be a better - although more expensive option. The owners are anal retentive and are weird about dogs. If you like to party, probably won't go over well here.

HaHa. Yeah. Craig is a good guy though. Their cabins are nice inside. Also you might think about Trapper Creek Inn as well. The new owners have supposedly remodeled their rooms upstairs. Also there are several B&Bs in TC as well.
I think you guys should wait until the 10th of march when I get back in next hitch. You might need a doo in the group to break trail for your little polaris!
