Best Boots?? Klim Warranty isn't what it used to be

I love my Klim Adrenelines,I've had them for at least five years maybe longer.
They are in excellent condition still.
I did notice last ride that my feet were a bit wet but I can live with that.
My feet are never cold in them.
I may buy a new pair next year,we shall see!

My kid and I both started wearing Motorfist boots five years ago. His leaked right away. They warrantied them. We have not had a problem since. Good for snowmobiling, crap for driving the truck. I use Smartwool socks. Either way, none of these boots should be leaking. I have Sorel boots that are twenty years old that don't leak. I agree with you goforbroke, their warranty is not what it used to be. Same with Motorfist.

Cant say enough about the Klim socks... I had problems with my first Klim boots due to the sweat. Popped for a pair of the socks and the problem vanished. Have had my current boots for 4 seasons and no issues at all... still using the Klim socks. They wick the moisture out very well and the skiing specific socks I wore couldn't do it.

MUCK BOOTS - get their arctic sport boots. wear them in the sloppy correls at home........wear them on the mountain. i know 3 guys that do it, and when my current boots a wore out, i am doing the same.

I have had Klim, Motorfist, HMK, Cold Wave.
The HMK Voyageur Boa are my favorite go to boot. The Motorfist are nice and light but I find them a tad to short for the deep days.
I have also tried Muck boots but found that the neoprene in the upper portion is to warm for my liking.

I am still using HMK's that are I believe 9 years old. I have had to replace the laces.

Thanks for everyone's input. Followed up with Goretex to see if they will warranty. Thanks for that suggestion. I have to send it in and they take the gore liner out and test it. If it leaks they will replace the boot, if not the boot is garbage as they cut the liner out and I'm out a leaky boot. Hope they replace, if not likely try HMK. My Klim boots have been great, I just like a company that goes above and beyond and a $240 boot should last more than 2 years in my opinion.

goforbroke - Do you have contact info for Gore that you can share; name & number? I am having the exact same issue you're having with the same boot. It seems the newer Klim boots have more leakage issues after a year or two, while their older boots are fine. Not bashing, just an observation based on experience and hearsay.

Thanks to who ever suggested contacting Gore about the material. That's not something I would have thought of and am going to try that avenue first. Either way, my boots are done unfortunately so if they cut them up, so be it.

Thanks again.

My new Klim Adrenaline GTX boots showed up today, warrantied by GORE.

I will post a new thread with full report.

Gore warrantied mine also. Still very dissappionted that Klim wouldn't warranty a boot, but happy the boot was replaced. Not sure what I'll buy in 3 years from now.

I have the same boots, and have never had a problem. Have Klim bibs and make sure the storm cuff is down.

I snagged my first pair and put a hole in them on a sled trip. Put super glue over hole to keep foot dry. When I got home I called Klim and explained what happen and what I did. I figured no warranty, because I put the glue on, but they gave me a free pair no questions asked. If I remember, they were just around the year old mark.
