Best bolt on invention ever!! Link with video added

A friend of mine has developed and patented a handle system that bolts to each rail right in front of the bogey wheels.
When you guys get stuck, how many of you are sick of trying to lift the bumper of your sled from your waist up and over your head to get out of the trench? This makes it so you only have to lift up to your waist to get out of the trench.
I'm telling you, these will save backs and save you riding time. Your friends will thank you too.
They are cut out of a single piece of aluminum and bolt on to most skids with out drilling any holes. We installed a set on a XP today and had to drill one hole. It took 15 minutes to get them on.
The best part is they are only 70$ a set.
I will have better pictures tomorrow afternoon for those are interested in seeing them.
Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks, Lynn

Follow the link below and there is a video giving you an idea of how these work.

Interesting idea

When I get stuck I can barely find the bumper let alone the rail :eek:

neat little idea, but 70 bucks? no thanks i'll header over to the local machine shop and get some made for half that price.

How in the world are you proposing putting a handle on the bottom rail, which is lower than the bumper, is going to save wear and tear on your back? You're going to be leaning farther over at a MUCH more improper angle trying to lift a sled out like that than you ever would the bumper.

This makes absolutley no sense at all :confused:

Real good idea. But I never get stuck LMAO!!! 70 is a little steep. Run the cost again and see what he comes up with?

If you are buried that deep that means you are doing 2 things to get unstuck. One, you grab the bumper at foot level and get it to about your waist and then, Two, you try get under the bumper and lift all the way out of the trench and to the side which is usually about chest high. This eliminates having to try to lift the sled from your waist to your chest. Plus if you have two guys you each grab a handle and you are out in seconds.

Those of you that think 70 is to much. You guys (including me) have probably paid that much or more for a couple pieces of bungee cord with a hook and a handle. I paid 70 for my snow bungee and lost it 3 rides later when it fell off my sled.

This is not my product I am just trying to help a friend and a fellow sledder.

My back hurts looking at that sorry man. :eek:

I don't know about you but the hardest part of getting unstuck to me is trying to lift the sled from my waist to my chest and off to the side. Its allot easier going from your feet up.

just dig. extra 5 minutes of digging can make life so much easier. also i don't see any xp riders buying one because of there shear power and track speed they have after your chip burns out

good idea i guess, but when i stick my sled good luck finding the rails, you'd have to dig down 4-5 feet... unless its in a real steep bad situation rolling your sled is hands down the easiest and fastest way to get sleds unstuck...

handle

it is one of those ideas"don"t knock it until you try it"..but i"am with everyone else,i usually can"t find the bumper, much less the rail..it is usually nice if you do find the bumper,lift the sled up and try to throw it side to side to do a little "track packing.". it would be kind of hard to do if you are standing by the side of the sled....good idea .i can"t knock it until i try it..too late..just my 2 cents...i ride a xp, so you know what that means..NO STUCKY-:eek::beer;

Keep thinking up new ideas.

There are better ways to get unstuck than dead lifting a sled up out of a trench. I see this as a large surface area of unsprung weight when the snow and ice build up on it.

Under the right circumstances it will help

.
But I personally think that "THIS" is the best bolt on invention ever!!

Thats frigging funny:D

what was this thread about again? I seen turtles post and got distracted

I try to scroll back to the top to remind myself, but only get part way back up then im distracted again!

what?

Reaching down farther means bending over farther plus having to reach in under the tunnel....... I don't know man! Unless you're standing beside your sled in snow up to your waist..... looks to be puttin your back in a pretty vulnerable position for injury. One word.....PowderJack. May take a bit longer but I'm not 25 years old anymore. :beer;
