BEST BELT FOR TURBO M1000

I would use the 060....whatever you do, don't use the xs belt under no cercumstances.....they'll explode on you without notice, used them on a couple different sleds and I just don't like them. In my experience, and this is on high powered sleds, the OEM belts are the best. IMHO

Gotta say from my experience the carlisle gives more notice than my cat belts have for me.

I use Carlisle & have great luck, usually hear it coming before they go to he**.
and they're $10 for the next one. We run them in our turbo & my 1000.

Cat belts

I use both belts but prefer the 060 because it loads the engine better but some days when snow is sticky the 046 is better. The key to the 060 is break in is a must.

I carry about 4 belt 2-046 and 2-060 for a reason I change them before they get to heat soaked and blow. When you are ridding and you smell you belt you need to pull it but you should pull it before it gets to hot.I do not like to sit and let my clutches cool so I just change belts. When I am breaking in a belt I put it on at the truck and ride hard it is about 5 miles to the good riding. I will pull that belt at the top and put a new belt on. I never want to pull a big powder hill with a new 060 belt it will not make it to the top with a turbo sled. After I have heated it up about 2-3 times its good and will last most of the year.

We have wet heavy snow at this time of year :face-icon-small-fro
always looking for something new thanks

I have been using the Dayco xtx 5032 and had great luck. Better than 046 and on par with the 060 at half the price. Ran in wet heavy snow yesterday all day and no issues. That is on a tm1000 with 174x3 track with 60/60 gearing at 10lbs boost.

You buy them at lordco?

TM1000 - its not about what belt, its about how many spare belts you have on board:face-icon-small-sho

TM8 - just ride it:face-icon-small-coo

060 on mine, close to 600 miles and still looks good. Had bad luck with everything else, but I have not tried the dayco. This is on a TM1000 at 8-9lbs

Try the Dayco Chad, just make sure to break it in well. I had over 600 miles on my first one and when it went, well lets just say it wasn't the belts fault. Dayco gave me another one for 15$. In BC Lordco is the Dayco distributor and I stock them as well as 046 and 060. Some guys like the Cat ones too.
