Best Ater market tunnel for 06 apex

the tunnel stock tunnel has been wrinkled beyond repair. As a repair would only be short term anyway

I am looking to replace it with a fabcraft tunnel

should i look for another brand?

I would like something lighter than stock and better than stock for those really deep powder days.

Don't forget to consider the strain Bill's jack puts on the tunnel when making your decision.
Not that any of the aftermarket tunnels won't hold up, but I don't think it is a consideration when most of the companies are making their tunnels.

how much weight saving with the CR racing tunnel over stock one ?

thanks

If you remove the rear rack and install different drop brackets....the weight savings can't be a whole bunch....I think its more so function and looks......imo

I'm guessing 20# less than stock. Thats including replacing the steel drop brackets. This is just a guess on my part. Have no actual weights to back it up.

I've ran both the CR and VE. I think the VE is a little more durable. I think the CR is lighter. They both look awsome when installed and set up right.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. Which one do I think is better??? That depends on which one I have at the time.

That's about right, I weighed both the stock and CR tunnel and it was right around a 20 lb. weight loss. That was with the lightweight drop brackets. May be a 22-24 lb. loss if you still have the stock steel suspension brackets.

My VE tunnel on my Apex was a 24 lb savings from the stock tunnel including all of the racks, stock drop brackets etc....

This was with a double pass cooler for my turbo.

20 lbs sound good.

When you say VE is more durable, what can happen to a tunnel ? Bent jumping, or Bent rolling ?

Sure the CR racing look is awesome. Will be my choice.

Just wondering what type of VE tunnel guys are running? They make a few different styles and I remember someone saying that there is one that sprays a bunch of snow on your back. It could have been from a few years ago though. I like the looks of the VE Boondockers tunnel and I'm thinking of going that way next year.

fabcraft is function over fashion.

I am going with it cuz I like it best, the bonus is that it costs half of what a CR costs
