BEST ALL-AROUND SKIS FOR THE TURBO?

I like the Simmons Skis (original) as they float good, carve the best, track real nice on the trail and don't hunt. however they make the steering tight on hard pack..

Many options available for a multitude of conditions. I use Simmons Gen 2 in the deep powder and stockers in spring conditions, like them both. I dont think there is one for ALL conditions. Sorry not much help.

skis

I took the Simmons and put in the press to make them like Piolet skidoo or old Yamaha exciter skis with rocker so they steer easy.
Really makes simmons gen one work well for easy steering.

I compare my yamadoo sled a LOT to the nytro sleds as weight and motor setup is relatively similar, I got some gen 1 simmons and they are acceptable, but Also am noticing in watching boost 4 today that a bunch of the t-nytro world are running the pilot 6.9 doo ski's. Just curious on the thought there. IMO, the gen 1 simmons dont float quite enough going downhill when the snow gets deep, and also they are definately not super easy to steer.

After a few different sets, I have gone back to stock skies. They dont carve has tight as others and yes they dart a bit but I dont ride trails much. I find they are the easiest ski for turning.

A lot of us in Utah have gone back to stock. I have tried simmons gen I and gen II and so have a bunch of the other guys I ride with. I want to try powder pros as I love them on my M sleds

I borrowed a set of Slydogs for a season, I would run them again, really easy to turn, not nearly as darty on the trail as stock.

I had MODS skis on my last nytro with an m-10 skid. They were night and day better over the stocks skis as far as turning at slower speeds and they work very well in the powder as well.

I do the same thing.

When my old Nytro got stolen it had Gen II's on it. My new sled has the stockers and I think I prefer the stockers all around over the Gen II's. The Gen 2 ski is great in bottomless but you give up a lot in all other conditions. I heard they are coming out with a Gen 3 about 8" wide. That might be a good compromise.

the slydogs are fine in powder i ran them 3 winters, but when it warms up in spring they do not turn!! i went back to the stock ones as well with the dual carbides

I say the gen 2's with the carls cut. This is on an rx-1 though. I haven't even rode them yet, but I think it'll work good. I like my powder pros, but they get weird in some spring show conditions. Slydogs made it one ride. They just plowed forward instead of turned.

Had Simmons Gen II's... liked them in most conditions other then setup spring snow. Got a chance to ride one day two years ago on a set of proto Gen III's, loved them. We had a set in our group doing some testing most of last year and he really liked the Gen IIIs and it looks like Val and the gang down at Simmons are making up the molds for this year. We found them to float great in deep snow, track great on the trail and the steering was fine in spring conditions.
