Best 2009 M8 Sno Pro 153" or 162"?

hands down buy the 162 you wont regret i have 600 miles mine not one regret. i was worried about boondocking in the trees i can assure you it is just as manoverable and hooks up like there is no tomarow i come off a 2006 m7 with a 153 and i feal that it is much more manoverable. DO it you wont regret it i started a post on here and some very knowlage able people told me go with the 162.

I don't think that moving to two wheels inside the rails affected the sidehilling much. I think the power claw, rear skid, and the lighter weight helped make the sidehilling easier. Plus the taller bars are nice. Overall the M chassis has always been the easiest for sidehilling IMO

My understanding was that moving the rear wheels inside alowed the track to flex a bit more making it easier to lay over and side hill. Not sure how big of a differance ?

I have the M8 153 and my last 2 sleds were 159's 1 Doo and 1 Poo. The Cat with the new track has better floatation than both of my old sleds. I had the same dilema as you but I wanted the LE so cat made the decision for me. I don't regret the shorter track at all. Now if I rode in wyoming or other deeeeeep snow states all the time then I would probably go 162.

I run have the 162 and really like it. I don't think you give up much in the way of track speed on the hill, It only has 4.5" more track on the ground. I was looking over my sled last night after a ride and noticed that the rolling resistance with the single ply track is amazing I can turn the track with one hand.

I am 6'5 and go 225 and came off of a 162x16 so the 162 was a no brainer for me. These things are so easy to sidehill and carve I don't think the extra track is noticeable.
