bent rear torsion springs

so I noticed over the last few rides the back end was sagging more and seemed to be bottoming easier

I assumed it was possibly the shock wearing a little along with the springs

I pulled it into the shop the other day and thawed it to take a look and check for sure. Appears both rear torsion springs bent from the spring head back to the adjustment nut (the short side of the spring)

anyone got a guess on cause of this or is it just wear? Sled has about 1200mi on it now. We have also had a terrible winter here for winds and extremely hard banks, wondering if that is the cause

Are you talkin on a swithcback assault? If so, no I haven't seen that issue on mine... If you're talkin about an IQ then you might want to post this question in that section because you would probably get quicker help there

do you have a pic? i bottomed easier than i would have like from new so i put stiffer springs in but later realized my shocks needed to be re built right from day one. i waited till they literally feel into pieces, rear pushed all the oil out and front track shock literally blew apart when unbolted from seld fell into pieces. my clickers barley did anything i was running them cranked. after re build running under 6 clicks all around. check to see if your shocks are pooched. my friends sled is starting to do the same thing we both have 11 SB assaults. he started to click up now after 1500 cause he's bottoming more than before. he's going to bring them in on warrenty for rebuild.

The torsion springs on mine broke with 92 miles on the sled and in the process took out the rear shock, front shock, two bogie wheels and ripped almost all the cogs off the track. This happened in early December, and was repaired under warranty at the time polaris couldnt come up with an answer for me, but now it seems to be caused by a shock problem from what others have reported. A buddy with the same sled had the same thing happen with 300 miles on his, and it was repaired. Mine didnt give any warning signs, just started botoming out on tiny bumps, so i knew something wasn't right. I have since traded it for the 155 rmk with the comp track for the Maine woods..

so I completely forgot about getting some pics, good news is I took it by my dealer and they are going to cover it for me, and upgrade the sprigs to something a little heavier at the same time
