Bent Jackshaft! Assault.

A
Anyone else had this happen? I got stuck, track was spinning while I pushed the sled left/right to get it unstuck and suddenlt a strange sound and ALOT of vibration! Checked afterwards and no rock, stump or anything in the trench!
Never heard/read anything about this before? Strange...

what year is the sled, and is it the drive shaft or the jack shaft.run it on a stand to determin what is causing vibration

jack shaft is on top, drive shaft on bottom with track drivers.
top shaft should be solid.did you run it on a stand to see whats vibrating?

sled

did it feel like you hit something? maybee something was under the snow when rocking it. ya put it on the stand and check it, also could be the belt coming apart they seem to vibrate a little if its burned

sorry just seen you said you checked for stump. look the track over good check belt and rotate to see if shaft moves

hope that helps

Iced up drivers or ice in tunnel?

Have had ice build up (quickly) in tunnel and when it comes through it can make a ton of noise vibration/ violence.

Yes, the Jackshaft. Its severly bent! Stone or something hit the inside of the tunnel, dented it and then the tunnel hit the shaft and bent it. New shaft going in tonight.
