Anyone else nuking belts?

I'm through 3 now...My Dragon was on the same belt for 3 years ('08).

One of then I'm convinced was bad belt (went on a lake diong nothing)...but they'r all new belts, and have been cleaned and Secondary belt deflection set correctly.

I'm running 2-cool vents and a team tied since I blew the first, but have been through two more since.

I have noticed quite a bit of vibration (cavitation) in the primary from the motor at idle and wonder if it isnt a broken motor mount or something

I am a heavier rider (250lbs with no gear - all balls), and am riding heavier snow in warmer conditions...but that said - refer to my Dragon statement earlier.

time sitting is not time well spent...would remove my seat entirely if it wasnt for lunch breaks...but this f'ing belt issue is causing me time

400 miles original belt, deflection looks great. These clutchs are so much different then what I was used to (08/09/10 XP0. I can make a hard run and there not even that hot.

you might check alignment, deflection and C to C distance, then if that all checks out..gear it down some, which should help...what elevations? over 6-8000 ft, polaris says use the black/purple spring in the secondary(of course with the tied who knows?)....also when you stop..which clutch is hottest?..most likely the one you need to work on first..

Check the hex bolts of the motor mounts.... That belt is pretty nuke-proof... something big is wrong.

How are your clutch temps?

Follow what AK is recommending.

Also, pull the primary spring off... re install the cover and check to see that the clutch is moving smoothly.

Pull the secondary, pop the helix out and check for any visible clues.

Check the motor mounts, bolts and torque stop.

So I was going over things the other day and noticed my motor mount hex bolt under and behind the primary was almost flush with the outside of the motor mount, while the others were sunken in more. Is this normal, or should it be the same depth in the mount as the rest?
