Has anybody used the harder 0627-060 cat belt that they run on the M1000. They used to run the o46 belt on the M1000 but switched to the harder belt. Just wondering if anybody has run the harder belt on their M8?

I think thats what they are using in the 2010 800 HO's.
060 is a softer belt than a 046. Apparently when they blow, they explode.
The 060 will hook up better lowering your rpms because it is softer and the 046 will spin a little more raising your rpms. There is a article in Snowest on this. If you had both you could clutch your sled for lower elevations using the 060 then when get up in elevation you can switch to the 046 giving you your rpms back keeping you in the power.
If the belts slips it creates heat and their for should blow up easier. My 07 still has the factory belt with 1200 miles on it and no troubles yet.
