I have about 900kms on my sled and have gone though 6 belts. I'm sure it is becasue i get so much belt heat and now ski doo won't warrenty my belts. Ive seen thoes arms online here to fix the allignment and i'm just wondering if they work or not in lowering belt temps and where to find one. I ride a 146, 200lbs, i've geared down and put in vents but still lots of heat?? any input would be great.
cheers

always gonna belt heat in the deep pow,6 belts is alignment problem..put a team clutch and float it....then no more belt problems....(6 belts would have already paid the team)

Have your dealer check your center bushing and spring cap bushing. Also see if you have a stuck roller. If so they should be able to warranty a few belts but probably not all of them. Just my 2 since from experience.

So i went though 2 belts in one ride on the weekend, gave up spent the money sent it into the shop today. I'm not up on what everything is called but i know my rollers are good because i checked them the other day but what is spring cap bushing? Sec or Prim? I think the main problem the the allignement, when i look down my clutches they look perfect in line, i think they are supposed to be off set?? Not sure if allignment is all that big of a deal or not though and if it would burn up 2 new belts in a day?? I did get a new motor put in because the last one blew up on me and they might not have installed it just right.

Make sure alignment is correct, that will help. But if you are strictly mountain riding you will always see alot of heat from the '09 setup, it is not "mountain friendly". We have customers that went through 6-9 belts last year and with proper alignment and our mountain setup the heat is much less, better performance and no more belt issues.
