belt drive and engine brace?

Just wondering what guys are doing with the c-3 belt drive install with the stiffer motor mounts. Is it needed to put the EVO Engine braces on or am I going to be good with the factory ones and the stiffer mounts that come with the c-3 belt drive. I also have the Big Chute turbo. I have never had belt problems so wasnt going to do much to the drive line

My opinion...

I have an M1100T with Evo's BC Turbo, AND am also running the C3 belt drive. The revised tunnel mounts for the engine are a must on this chassis in my humble opinion, because it moves the load from the heat exchanger to the top of the tunnel. I've since added the TCL delete - not because I needed to (I didn't have a belt blower), but because I wanted to eliminate (reduce) the likelihood of failure with the stock setup. If you have the belt drive already, do the EVO motor mounts. If you don't have the belt drive, you can go economy and use EVO's mounts with a HD chain and manual chain tensioner

How do you like your c3 belt drive?

Good product...

The C3 drive is well thought out - the best part is the increased throttle response and being able to change gearing. I'm running a 3" with Avid drivers, so I maintained the stock chaincase ratio of 2.33:1, but had I not run the 7 tooth driver, I would have chose 2.42:1. No issues with the syncrodrive, but in all fairness I only have a couple hundred miles on it thus far...should have another 300 miles or so by the weekend.

Mr. Fart Sir, I had my first ride on my sled (similar setup to yours) with the new belt drive on the weekend.
Not 30km on the sled, and quite a bit of blue material on the right running board, and belly pan under the belt drive/pipe area. Did you see any of that when yours was new???

Gates belt

The 1100T uses a Mitsuboshi giga torque belt which doesn't shed any blue crap (the belt isn't blue). The Gates belt is known to release a bit of blue crap - I take it you are either riding a polaris or doo, or perhaps you have a different belt - I was unaware of any changes in belt used. My wife's Pro RMK has a Gates belt (it has a C3 drive), but both the 1100T and M800 with C3 drives we have use the Mitsuboshi belt.

Polaris or a Doo?!?! Common man! haha
I have a similar sled to yours. '12 M11T. BC275 kit, carbon hood, C3 belt drive, lightweight seat, CE 2.5, EVOLS, 38" arms, powder pros blah blah blah.
The spare belt they gave me is a gates as well, I did tell them I read it "should" have a Mitsubishi belt, but that's all they had. And yes, it currently has a gates on it now. Blue stuff everywhere.
I will need to talk to kevin I suppose.
