Belt Clip

Spread the clip out a little with your hands first, then put the belt it and secure the O-ring to keep the belt from falling out. Pretty poor design. I also put a couple zip ties on my belt so it takes up less space. Eric

I agree that the belt clip is a joke. Using a zip tie is best and zip tying the two ends of the spare belt helps too.

Stretch out the clip slightly. 2 zip ties on the spare belt to make it look like a dog bone. All good.

Never had a problem... Make sure your cogs are lined up and kinda get one side of the belt in ahead of the other. Its a little tight but I prefer that to loose. lol

Thumbscrews on the hood.
Remove the clip and pitch it.
Two zip ties hold the belt to the bottom of the hood.
Keeps it out of the way for access to the PC V plug.

Tried that. My clip must be tighter than yours. Stiffer too. Lol!

Another note - man the belt is sure easier to change on a 2015 than a 2011. The got rid of a bunch of plastic around the primary clutch and it made a big difference. Easily impressed perhaps lol

I got the same problem, belt wont go in. I think the rivets are too long, and its too tight. NO way my belt is gonna fit without some mods. im thinking of grinding down the rivet.

Three pros in our family and no issues with the belt clip. Zip tie the belt together. One at each end. Belt pops right into the clip.

Guess where the oil goes if you have a faulty/leaky oil cap and roll your sled? All over your spare belt. Sheetmetalfab has it right, pitch the damn clip. I keep my spare in my under-seat bag now. Better air flow thru the clutch area too with it gone. Poo really did NOT think that one thru when they designed it.

Have FUN!
