to the group of three gentlemen from michigan that literaly saved my life, thank you from me, my wife, and kids. back in late feb 07 me and a buddy traveled from iowa to ride. we came across three guys from michigan and decided to ride together and get something to eat. we ran into snow and wind (near white out) near libby flats. i was leading and thought we had rounded the corner on the highway to short cut to the play hills. long story short i ended up putting us in a very bad situation. i broke my right leg. no aspirin, hand or foot warmers, ace wrap, or anything needed to survive in those conditions. i am bad with names, but we all kept a level head and made it to the trail by the time search and rescue arrived. i cannot express enough thanks to everyone involved. i just recently got interested in forums and realized i had never truly thanked anyone other than my friend who was there.thanks again. i have since carried a backpack with some survival gear and a beacon. it showed me what can happen to anyone.
