Going to bear lodge and was wondering if there is any need for beacons and stuff like that? any info would help.

Yes

I guess I don't understand that line of questioning... Instead of getting on my pulpit about avalanche awareness and safety I'll keep it simple.

Yes

The lack of snow is putting me on edge!

umm....yes, anytime you are in the mountains, having and knowing how to use beacons is a must.

I wear one all the time riding just cause if I roll up to a accident and someone is missing I would much rather help look then stand there doing nothing.

Seen a few different places where there was a small slide this weekend. My group even caused a couple. A beacon is a must. The sugar snow thats not packed down could cause trouble.

I agree. If you have one wear one. The Horns may not be as bad as other for avalanches but they are there. Better to be safe then sorry. I think they should give a free beacon with every snowmobile purchase.
