We've been out here all week. We rode out of franklin today and found the best snow farther north. There is decent snow in spots but you have to be really careful. Lots of rocks and land mines out there. Needs at least two feet of fresh, but we are making the best of it
Most of the general riding areas are tracked up with minimal snow coverage. Unless you have a honey hole in the trees don't expect to find great conditions. We just haven't gotten the snow this year, most places have 2ft and that's about it.
no new storms for the last couple of weeks. I rode from Cub River to Franklin Basin twice two weeks ago. It's fun to get out on the sled but there is not much more then 3-4 feet up high so be careful if you go that way. We did find a good spot in a ravine up Hillyards canyon just before the top of Franklin Basin and also a good N. facing slope that did not have any tracks yet. Go with low expectations and you should come out with more then you had hoped for.
