Whats the scoup on the snow conditions on the east side of Bear Lake into Logan canyon we do a yearly trip over new years and want to know if I should bring the sleds.

Thanks for any info.

There's enough snow for a trail ride and that's it, if your thinking of getting off trail it may get expensive.

I haven't been up there for 4 weeks and will hold out til more snow arrives.

Its not that great right now and it also rained up there today so the snow that is there has a nice icey crust on it.. Hopefully we get some snow ASAP!!!

You can ride the trails but be really careful everywhere else. I haven't ever seen such little snow for this time of year. There was honestly more snow in June then there is now. Went last weekend but not sure I will go again until we get a lot more snow.

Same, rode Bloomington and it was a rock and stump fest. Can't recall seeing it this bad. I won't be going again till we get more snow, which likely means no New Years riding.
Never done that before since I started riding, or skiing. Skiing is just as bad!

Talked to my sister that lives in Fish Haven. Its rained all day and killed the little snow they did have

I've been working in Bear Lake and driving through Logan Canyon everyday, and today it was raining from before Tony Grove, all the way to Fish Haven where I've been working. Rained most of the day. There wasn't much snow up there as it is, but there has to be hardly anything now...

Thanks for the info guys ended up takeing my fresh rebuild up figured I could break it in on the trails and man thats got to be the worst I have seen up there for this time of year. Not enough snow to drop over into the canyon from the Bear Lake side at least for what I will ride my sled in and there was very few roads on the Lake side that were worth rideing on also.
Friday was slushy then it got cold enough it was just an ice rink. Glad I didnt bring the rest of the sleds. This year sucks so far.:face-icon-small-fro

Well its that time of year for my trip next weekend and am wondering if im going to be able to ride up there?
Ive seen some reports from 3 weeks ago but hows it looking now?
Hope the storm tomorrrow will dump up there. TTT

We rode up there yesterday, really need a big storm. There are lots of rocks showing and brush. If it doesnt improve you'll need to be real careful getting off trail. The Utah trail system was really hashed, when you got to Idahos it was smooth as glass. But whats new, Utahs grooming has always sucked!
Good Luck, Sprocket.

I don't know where you go from bear lake if you head up Logan canyon or go somewhere else. But I rode up Logan canyon and it was awesome!

I second that! Had a great ride with some really cool people! Nice to meet all of you.

And for the record, Chris made it up on the second go around!

Had a blast today missy! Need to get that group together again
