Hey gang just a brief heads up and my personal thanks to Mike at Bear Creek Lodge, McCall Idaho for his awesome help at the BOISE SLED SHOW. We appreciate your help and look forward to seeing you at your awesome place in McCall this winter.

SLEDDERS PLEASE CHECK THIS PLACE OUT...pretty much THE destination for ride out accomodations at McCall Idaho. Incredible facility...and you can ride from your room. Also Mike has opened up his parking lot for all sledders so if you use it please stop in and tour the lodge...have a beer...maybe a bite to eat. GORGEOUS PLACE!

Yep... Mike is first class all the way. The lodge is in a fantastic location with great trail access. Make sure to check it out if you're in the area.

Had a nice conversation while I was at the snow show this weekend. Sounds like they have the place dialed in for the winter.

Bear Creek is the BEST! The people are great, the lodge is great, and the trail is literally right across the road. They have a cabin on the property that you can rent out. Me and my family did this last year and had a blast. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This really is an exceptional property and very unique for sledders because of it's location. THIS IS THE OFFICIAL BEAR CREEK LODGE THREAD FROM NOW ON. I'll post up some additional photos and info as the season progresses. We spend about half of our riding time around the McCall area so I"ll try to keep things interesting and informative for Bear Creek...

BEAR CREEK LODGE (last season we attended)
..held the 2010 Polaris PRO demo tour
..2010 Idaho Snowmobile Association state ride host site
..host site for the McCall Snowmobile Club's annual fundraiser fun run
(which I also attended and was super impressed with the great turnout and fun that was had by all..even me in this environment that is not our normal pace!:face-icon-small-hap. Met a bunch of great sled enthusiasts outside of our normal hardcore crowd.)

Mike the owner is 100% all snowmobiler

Mike is all for the snowmobiling community, he puts in many hours of his time working all-out for us and the local grooming program. His place is one of a kind and is absolutley beautiful.

Mike offers the snowmobiler community a place to meet with officials and have club functions and never charges a penny. He is a classic. He now has gas, permits, and parking. You can ride right out of your room in both directions, north over Brundage or south on Red Ridge towards No Business. All sorts of country to ride in. Stop in and check it out and see for yourself.

Spud.

Backcountry Basics Snowmobile Clinics chose Bear Creek Lodge as our main base, because they very first time I stayed there I felt like it was home (it's even 7 hours from my real home)!

I have worked and stayed at some of the swankiest resorts in the country from the lower 48 to Alaska's most premier fly in fishing lodges. If this gives you an idea how awesome it is there, I chose Bear Creek as MY FAVORITE lodge to visit, not only is it a relaxed upscale atmosphere. Bear Creek treats EVERYONE like they are old friends and family revisiting!!

Balinda, Tim & Mike are amazing people! I just want to say thank you for everything you do for the industry & how you truly have helped Backcountry Basics!

WOW, what can I say??

Wow, how do I thank all of you for such a glowing recommendation. I am humbled and very appreciative of your comments. We will have a hard time now living up to this but will surely try. Please stop by. Mike.

Drove by the lodge last night...a skiff of snow and the place looks BEAUTIFUL! Anxious to stay several trips this winter. One of the premier places in all of McCall for sled folks! Ride from your door to some of the best sledding in the world.

Yep it is my official ROB IS RETIRED FROM SLED TRADE SHOWS SLED SHOW. THE LAST ONE! According to my count it is going to be number 70 and the last one EVER EVER EVER!~ YAAA-FRICKING--WHOOOOOOOOO my excitement can hardly be contained.

Accept that I'll never give up my Super Premium Jackson Hole Space...just have to figure out how to best USE it. We've discussed a "customer appreciation booth" IE Thanks for buying a million dollars worth of sled parts from me over the years...so here is a beer booth.....and that seems like a good idea! We've progressively had that kind of booth at Jackson only this year we won't be selling anything!

Should have stopped in and said hello but we were flying through from fishing Riggins and off to Spokane for work. See you in Boise! Looking so forward to a stay at Bear Creek Lodge!

Very nice looking accomadations. Shall have to book a weekend. Christmas wk.?

How was the fishing??

Hey Rob, Congratulations!!!!
I don't think people really understand how much work they really are. I am happy for you that you got to that place with your business. I know that it took a lot of hard work. I think what you need is to buy a Lodge.... Lets talk at the show and I'll buy you a beer...

Hi Suitcase
Thank You for that. We do have accommodations open for Christmas week if you are interested. We can give you 10% discount also. Please let us know and we will set you up...

Momma and I stayed for a GREAT week last year and have the same week reserved for this year. BCL is AWESOME, Belinda and Tim will make you feel just like family but better! They are relentless in making you comfortable and at home.
I don't even know what to say about Mike, he must be more than one person, he is Mr. Snowmobile and is also relentless in his efforts to improve/support the sport.
The accomodations are First Class, the food even better and the riding is OUTSTANDING !!!
I simply can not say enough about this place, Thank you M, T and B, ya'll are awesome and RockStar and I can't wait to get back this Feb!

Suitcase do it..this place is very awesome! Normally speaking McCall gets pretty ride-able the week prior to new years. From then on it's usually good to absolutely great if you know where to look. I'll make sure you find some nice little nooks and crannies to make your trip extra special.

Mike The boss said no. By no I mean she said "are f##@ing insane and started packing her stuff!" he he

Talk to you at Boise and looking forward to a delicious cold beer!

Fishing was slow for us...I didn't have the magic going this trip. They were in between plugs and bait time. My group was more set up for plugs with our stuff and style so it was slow. Couple of exciting whacks and one in the cooler was it..cold and windy makes for a less than fun time in a big big boat. Beer was delicious, cold and plentiful. The company was wonderful. So fishing was great...catching was not! Julio did not fall in the river this day so that was good.......:becky:

Thanks Guys for the nice posts. I will pass them along to Tim and Belinda. They will definitley appreciate them. The Chef at the Restaurant, Sean, is amazing. You can see his Menu on our website and will prepare anything that you want. We are also open for Lunch so you can ride up to the door and get back on your sleds. I will see you in Boise...
