Pieps 457 Opti Avalanche Beacon. how user friendly is this beacon. dont have a ton of money to spend on one right now and was wondering what you guys who have one think of it? any help will be appreciated

The Pieps Opti 457 is an analog beacon, so by default it is not as user friendly as the new digital beacons. If you get out and practice with it a bunch, you will be able to learn how to use it, but you will need to learn how to search using the grid pattern rather than following a flux line with a digital beacon. I highly recommend going with a digital beacon.
