Be careful with Alpine Powersports in Lindon

I called up there and asked to see if they had a thermostat for my 08 XP and he told me that the 08's don't have thermostats? When I pressed him and asked him if he was really sure about that, he was adamant they don't. So I pulled up a parts number for the thermostat housing and gave it to him and he was dumbfounded and said he'd never seen that before. WTF?

DO THESE GUYS REALLY KNOW SKI DOO?? :suspicious::suspicious::suspicious:

Deal with Dan or Chad and you will never have that proplem.
Unfortunalty like most shops the ones working the counters and phones
Have little experince and alot of learning to do when it comes to snowmobiles.

Shops can't afford to have a high dollar wrench doing anything but wrenching on the sleds....

Alpine is an extremely trusted shop that I will continue to use year in and year out......

I've always found it best to do some research on what you need before even calling the dealer. I have a favorite dealer that always treats me well and I needed a thermostat for an 08' Dragon. The parts guy (who is extremely knowledgeable) pulled the thermostat and it wasnt the same part number as I had researched before I went in. It turns out that he pulled an '09 thermostat and there is a small difference between the two.

Without knowing the part number I would have installed the wrong part (which would have fit BTW).

Yeah I know. I've dealt with them in the past and they were really cool (they gave me some free used parts for my clutch when it exploded while I was out here from Colorado riding in Fairview). I just wanted to give peeps a heads up to know your chit before you call in cuz you won't always get somebody that knows much about what you need. It was just annoying how adamant he was and the fact that I had to almost reach through the phone and tell him I was right and he was wrong. If they aren't knowledgeable, at least don't argue about it and act like I'm the moron in this case. I'll use em again without a doubt, but I'm gonna be a little more cautious with the trust I put in the counter guys.

WOW! that sounds like a stand up dealership to me. Most rape a desperate out of towner.

GREAT DEALERSHIP!!!!

I have done a lot of business with them. Don't know who helped you, but they have always bent over backwards for myself and my friends. Easy to work with on rentals, helpful with parts, very timely with getting my sled in and out of their shop. I have done business with bad dealerships, and Alpine Powersports is definitely not one of them. Sorry for your one incident.

Be sure to talk to Dan when you call or go in, he know his shiz and is very helpful.

alpine has always rolled out the red carpet for me,always ask for dan or brandon.im on a cat this year and they still give me 110% on parts and service.

I always forget about him, but true. Brandon is an extremely knowledgeable and cool kid that they scored from Powerhouse.. He's a lot like a young Matt Hasara.

I guess that's what happens when you hang out with Matt 5 days a week for years.
I have had the great opportunity to watch and work along side both of these guys and they are great !

If I ever had another Skidoo Dan would be the man to get stuff done.
I did not even buy my sled from them but Dan went to bat for me every time with BRP

Bringing this one up from the dead, are these guys still open? I bought a Commander from them, drove by the other day and the place looked cleaned out. Hope they are still hanging in there.

I called the phone number for Alpine and it goes to Utah Valley Powersports....which is Provo Ski Doo. The old Provo Ski Doo shop merged with Utah Valley Powersports and moved to Springville. Interesting.

Provo Skidoo bought alpines inventory and moved to springville to a great new shop. Cant name it Provo Skidoo if its in springville.

Btw they have the new xm on display if anyone wants to inspect one.

Devin at Provo Ski Doo has been great to deal with. Hope his new shop brings him success!
