BDX power valve kit

Hi guys
I have a new 09 xfire sp. I am wondering how well the BDX power valve kits work on the 800s. I have had a lot of trouble in the past with the 03's and 06 power valves this may be the ticket. Any input helpfull thanks

Tried the BDX delete on M1200 nad then went to the Supreme tool. The supreme tool work great with no cables and you can adjust them to the opening RPM you like.

how do they work, are they pressure like the Polaris? I would like to get rid of all the cables and crap under my hood.

I am also wondering how they work, what are the mechanics of them? Anyone who has them please let me know

They are not a operating valve, It is a fixed valve that acts like it is full open all the time. The mid-range is greatly improved over stock, however the bottom end suffers a little and the top remains the same. To over come the sloppy bottom end you need to install a stiffer primary spring like a slp 140/310 and remove a little fuel from 3000-5000 Rpm. Combined with the BDX intake, I was impressed with the Mid-range gains the dyno cart from BDX shows over 12 HP at 6800- 7000 RPM. If you run them on a stock sled you most likely will not like the bottom end.

If I were to buy aftermarket Power Valve's agian it would be STM.

the stm..??...they are opened by the pressure in the combustion chamber...they are adjusted by regulating the spring pressure on top...they do everything your stock power valves do less the hassle of servo motor, cables, adjusting and breakage etc etc etc

Thanks for info guys, the sled will also have a t-sled intake and mbrp silencer. Will that be enough to clear up the sloppy low end with the fixed BDX valves?

power valves.stm or bdx delete will not have a factor on lower end...the t intake and silencer possibly may help...my suggestion is if you already have the intake and can throw them on and see...if you still have an issue then maybe rather then spend the 500 bucks on stm or less on the bdx delete...get a fuel pressure regulator and fuel control box....the stms will do the same job as stock with less parts..no real performance upgrade, just piece of mind of less parts..stm is the best alternative just my opinion..

I found that the STMs worked great on the 800 engine and as said above, no real gains in performance because the 800 has a good bottom end stock. On the M1000, however, it is a different story. The STMs really helped the bottom end out. I fought bottom end blubber or roughness a lot on the 1000 engine and found 2 solutions......STM valves or a Powercommander fuel controller. The PC has great resolution and allows the fine tuning needed to clean up the bottom end and get that SNAP! I could clean up the bottom with the BDX valves or stock valves as well as the STM.

If you get the STM valves, make sure to get the new version as I have seen several of the bellows/valve stems come apart.

I have the intake and can on am thinking of the bdx valve delete. Thanks for the info on stm, maybe get them instead. I just got this sled as a holdover have not ridden it yet
