BDX M1000 Gearing???

Curious if BDX gears would work in my stock DD on my 07 M1000. I am hoping to buy the whole LW DD kit next year, if I have the money, but I'm wondering if I ordered the gears now will they work, and then next year I can get the rest of it. What gear ratio should be the best? 07 M1000, hps can, 162" powerclaw, 3 post clutch w 77.5g weights, stock spring, stock spring in secondary, BDX rock rollers, and BDX 40/36 helix. Any info. to directly contact BDX would be nice too.

They are different. You would need the reverse gears in your sled because of the mechanical reverse you have. The Lightweight DD you would buy next year are stand alone gears.

I would try 56/64 or 57/63 ratio in an M1000. Stock 07 M1000's are 60/60 but the M8's and 6's come with 57/63's odd but that should help you decide.

re-gear it this year. next year when you are 30 you will need reverse (I know from experience), I put 57/63 in mine. And Yes the gears are different from the case you have now VS the light weight case set up.
