Just installed a bdx dd lite in my m1000. It is real noisy. Is this normal? On all my other sleds with a stock dd whined, but this is alot louder. Just curious if any other people noticed this.

Doesn't sound normal, just put one on mine and it doesn't make any noise. Did you put the white nylon spacer back on the drive shaft? Is the bolt that you have to tighten from the brake for the drive shaft tight?
Just checked my old drive shaft. I didnt put the nylon washer on. Looks like Im taking it back apart.

The nylon spacer is not needed. It is just there to hold the rubber seal boot against the DD. With the DD lite, you would need 2-3 of those spacers to hold the seal against the DD as the trackshaft is a different length.
Speaking of that...you did install the BDX trackshaft with the DD lite right? The stock trackshaft can not be used with the DD lite!

Yes I installed the track shaft that came with the dd lite. Well then I wonder what the noise is then? Its definetly alot more noisy then my stock one.

I would dump the oil (since it is only 4oz) and check for filings. Was the DD lite brand new? What gearing inside? I put together my own DD lite (bought the case and gears separately) and when I put in the 54/66 gears they hit the outer cover where the build up for the bolts are. I had to grind away some aluminum on the cover so the gears wouldn't contact it.
It was new. I bought it with 57/63 gears. Ill drain the oil and see what comes out.
