Bdx 38" front

Just to let you guys know that the bdx 38"kit does not work on the 1100's. It was designed for the 800s, and does not allow for clearence of the turbo. If your crafty you can make it work.

Question is did you get it to work looks like you have it almost figured out??? Ive wondered if it was possible with some customizing. More Pics from the left side

if you're going to go thru that much, you should look at the Skinz front end for the 1100 just released for sale. this is uppers/lowers and spindles that move the front end out 4 1/2 inches. makes for lighter front end and better handle i hope.

Skinz Protective Gear website, under products A-D, A-arms for arctic Cat. looks to be 37", i will be weighing my front end after install, with moving the spindle centerline 4 1/2" forward, i would bet a 25# reduction in weight on the skis.

Must have just released it!

I've been looking on their site every week in hopes they would make a narrow, spindle forward kit. Wasn't on there last week. Wish I could afford to buy it!

i'm kinda surprised it isn't making a bunch of news. for all the money being spent to lighten the front ends on the 1100t, this would seem to be the best bang for the buck!

The skinz setup seems awfully expensive, even without shocks. $1300, compared to the bdx at $400. I know you get uppers and lowers with the skinz where as the BDX is uppers only, and both kits with new spindles, I just don't see an extra $900 worth to go with the Skinz setup, even if it does give more improvement to handling than BDX. Too bad the BDX front end doesn't work for the 1100T.

Looks like you got it!

What is the prob? Is the upper/arm mount in the way of the boost tube? More info/pics please.

The mount for the a-arm completely blocks the relief for the boost tubes, which will not allow you to put your boost tubes on. I will post more pics when I get back at working on the sled. Im trying to draw up something on CAD that will allow me to fix the issue. The product is nice as they counterbore for all rivets that sit under the bracket and mill for clearance on overlapping metal. It will take me a few days to get it all sorted out. Will keep you posted on the new piece. For now I just made it work so I can head on my trip next week

After much cursing and swearing, I have come to the conclusion that the bdx kit will NOT work on the turbos. There is just no clearance what so ever to make it work.

I was looking for ideas on a new brush guard and ran across this thread if it helps i have a bdx 38 kit on my 1100 been working just fine only problem i have had is bent a spindle but. I was trying to miss a little tree and found a rock thats why im building a new bumper.so the next time i can run the tree over:face-icon-small-hap

Looks to me the left side bracket has been modified. right under the charge tube. Also the charge tube is touching the mount judging by the pictures.

Yep had to modify bracket and the charge tube is very close but it has been working for few hundred miles so far no problems. You do lose your stock bumper though and i dont think they make a bumper for that kit on the 1100 thats why i built my own.

Yea there were too many modifications to make me feel comfortable taking it into the backcountry where we ride. Just the few short kms I did put on started to chafe the charge tube. Yes the kit can be modified to put on but at 450 bucks to "make it kind of work" wasn't worth it for me. Too bad because the parts were pretty nice stuff.
