BD turbo tuning problems

My buddy has a 12 pro with a 2013 update on the top end with a intercooled boondocker turbo and it would bog at low rpm's but if we eased into the the throttle and got to higher rpm's it would run smoother but can't figure out the fuel mapping cruising through powder field and almost put him over the handle bars said it felt like a bulldozer going through the snow any suggestions or answers to our problem? Thanks.

Sounds like you may have a couple of issues. First, if you are having problems in the powder, and not on the trail, you are probably sucking either snow or steam. One thing that is often over looked is how much snow is getting through your vents. I recommend frog skins. Don't start tuning until you are positive you are not getting any snow in. If not you will just be chasing your tail. Remember snow hitting your pipe creates steam and if you ingest that into you intake it will make it act like its pig rich.
