BD PG m8 2010 wont read boost on EBC!

Just got the sled together today and everything went great for most of it.

Started to play in the steeper and deeper and my A/F guage went straight to 18 and red!

First thing off I noticed my EBC isnt displaying my current boost pressure. And niether is the Boondocker box...

So its defueling in the top range badly. I played with the bd boost map numbers and nothing. Tried recalibrating the ebc to the BD box and its still the same. Found that when i go to the Buzz function on the ebc to buzz the soleniod to control the wastegate, there was nothing. doesnt seem to magnatize either...

was planning to ride tomorrow! any suggestions??

thanks, Mark

got that all done. it tees between the fuel pump to airbox and ebc. I have 0.00ohm resistance in solenoid and 14v going to solenoid....i beleive on the hardness coming from the ebc to the Bd box i have one spare connector that i never used. thought it was for additional injectors or a different kit.

Have you checked the 1/8" poly line from the IC or airbox to the EBC? I didn't get mine tied down right last year an it melted against the pipe .... it was overboosting and underfueling because of it, but I could still get a readout on the gage.

I'll have to tear it down in the am and check the line. It goes from the air box. Then tees to the fuel pump and to the ebc.

The weird thing though is that my ebc displays my set boost as say 6.5psi. And I swear once in a while it will read 6.7 or 6.6.. I'm scared to run it again to double check but I'll give it the once over in the am.

What rpm should you begin to see a boost reading?

At idle I removed the solenoid dump line an tried to feel for air dumping . Didn't appear to be. But maybe in higher rpm would be more notice able. And it seems to have goo boost in higher rpms while testing. I'm going to throw a boost gauge on it today and rev it up and just get a base line so I know what's up anyways. I have a feeling there is an issue with the solenoid (maybe delivering full boost all the time) and a boost leak in the poly line to fuel pump and ebc.

I that boost wasn't being delivered to the fuel pump either I'd run into a lean condition

If you're trying to boost the sled up on a track stand or something it doesn't work very well I've found .... engine needs to have a load on it for the turbo to boost. You will see some blips on your EBC but they will be few and far between. Best thing is to run it around the yard or something .... hell with no more snow than there is I'd almost say take it to the local pond and run it across the water a few times just to put some load on it and see what it does :)

i see the same thing with my ebc, i set it to 8.5 and while riding it will hit 8.7 and the bd box will read the same.

the 8.5 on the ebc is your target, it can be +/- the target

Very normal

i see the ebc measure boost at clutch engagement, it building...

I have had my lines ice up now 3 or 4 times. It was a quick fix all but once, and I had to thaw out both the lines, and EBC to get it sensing boost again. Just something to watch for.
