i got issues with my 2010 bd pg kit, at mid to full throttle im getting a hesatation, cutting in and out, i look down and the led lights on the EBC goes dim than bright also i get the odd injector failure code on the bd box, i didnt install this kit so im not shure wat makes this kit tick, and i dont know really what that EBC affects, i tried setting the boost at 5 and the boost will climb to 8-10, like i said im not famuiluar with this kit so any info would be kewl
tks

wiring

depending on when your kit was put together there is an updated wire harness for the injectors ,what cooler is the back light in the bd box . which ebc does it have ,older=%based ,newer=psi #'s.

the kit is a 2010, back light on box is yellow, plus theres a verity of settings on the ebc,, i dont understand all the settings and i dont have a book on it. when that ebc is cold the leds are all over the place jumpin from one screen to the next and the settings wont change, looks like a peice of junk to me, the concept is kewl but thats where it stops

:moon:You probably have a short in your injector harness, at least that's what happened to me. Check Power of the injectors. That's what powers your ebc and bd box I think. Should be 18 to 21 volts DC. Then follow the harness up to the next plug and check power there, all the way up to the bd controller. My injector deal on the bd box came on too and it threw the code also on the tach. Ended up being a wire rubbing on the fuel rail . You can check Power just by pulling the sled over, it don't have to be running.

And good luck with boon. I emailed three different people there and once on snowest and never got a response when I had problems.

any luck

snobyrd, were you able to check voltage at pto injerctor did it have two hot leads (up dated harness). another thought was maybe the button on ebc is stuck when you push it can you feel the contact like .micro switch.

i havent had a chance to do some testing today, but i found out y its over boosting, the rod was shorten to make more boost, prev owner also said ebc button may be stuk
this sled is runnin 79 dalton adj weights, ? is are these weights considered good weights for turbo use,it seems lame, my ovs kit with mds is a freight train unlike the bd kit

i am assuming you have the older 4 weight 07 style clutch? what are you revving out to? I'm seeing peaks to 7900 on mine which makes me nervous.

Does anyone know what the single letter config settings do in the ebc? There was like a A with a number by it and a D and a P or something. are these boost targets for different throttle positions?

i talked to boondiker today, was told ebc gets power from fuel pump, i was told to check ground. yesterday the box even blanked out, i shut off sled and the box came back on. the ebc goes dim mostly when i let of throttle. I didnt install this kit so i dont know all the wireing..
keep the ideas commin
tks

The clutch is a 3 weight 2010 m8

Dave
It was the ground wire on the box, it was losse, ebc is now running correct.
Tks

good to hear ,should make things run better now. are you going to change the actuator rod back to original lenght or just going to run it that way. that clutch spring i'm using is a team green/red 158-290 primary. getting on a plane tomorrow i'll have that number with me give a call if needed, just going sleding lol.

dave
the rod is still in same pisition, im not to worried right now, just now i know that theres more boost goin on than ebc says. theres no det happinin so thats the main thing. you can shoot me that # so i dont have to deal with bd canada. have a good trip.
