BCA Float 30 available to check out...

Hi,

Our BCA float 30's just arrived 5 min ago. I live in the Marysville, WA area, and if anyone would like to see them, try them on, etc... send me a PM. At the moment, I have a demo that you can pull the cord on to see what it's like.

Send me a PM and we'll work on a time. Right now, I'm super-flexible with my time.

Mods:
I'm also going to post this in the Avy awareness section, I hope that is ok.

Any chance you could post pictures? Would like to see if it has enough room to carry what I do, which many say is way to much!
Thanks

mine is supposed to be here today!!! :face-icon-small-hap

Got the extra canister too for a test pull. where's the party gonna be?

The 30 stands for 30 liters of volume (i.e. stowable space). I've read that the stowable space isn't compromised by the cannister or balloon.

To put 30 liters of volume into something people understand... The Dakine Heli-Pro pack which is commonly used for snowmobiling is a 20 liter pack. The heli-pro pack is big enough to carry all your essentials and not put too much weight on your back.

I currently use a 30 liter pack from DaKine and have more than enough room - too much actually. My pack ends up weighing me down! Could be because I ride an XP that has zero storage space. The point is if you get a chance to see the Float 30 you're gonna say "whoa, it's bigger than I thought it'd be."

Kordero is right, the pack has a lot of room. More than my DaKine helipro 2. I was shocked just how much room is in there. The cool part, Is we dont have to fill it up.

Also, I'm a larger guy @ 6'2", and 210 lbs, so while the pack is larger than my dakine on the outside as well, it's ok with me. The airbag compartment (velcro enclosure that holds the un-deployed airbag) gives the perimeter of the pack some rigidity, and that rigidity translates to a pack that doesnt' flop around and will actually 'feel' lighter than a similar-weight pack that flops.

I'm not a paying member, but if i can take some pics of my dakine on my back, then load my BCA, and put that on, that can give some an idea of the size comparison. I'll also try to take a pic of the gear I put in my pack.

Thanks that would be great if you could do that.
My current pak is 2600 cubic inches or 42.6 liters,
the BCA pak is 30 liters or 1830 cubic inches, so you can see by the difference as to why I asked about pictures. Yes I may carry too much
but its always better to have then not have as I've been told.
Thanks
