BC snowbikers and ORV requirements

Apparently we need to register our snowbikes and get ORV stickers. My bike is a KTM 500 exc. I had it previously plated and registered. If i register it as an ORV then I can't get it plated again as it is considered offroad. If I plate it, then technically it is plated as a road vehicle- what do I do?

I'd just roll the dice and talk nice to the officer if you happen to get checked.

Problem is in Whistler the officers regularly visit. A problem I found out is that if I get the ORV pass then my formerly street legal dirt bike is not considered off road. To get it plated again, i would have to get a full inspection again which includes all of the stuff I took off the bike including emissions, horn, wide blinkers etc etc etc. I may just road plate it so that I don't have to go through that ordeal. The bike is registered with ICBC and I do have 3rd party liability insurance so that was the main objective of this whol ORV registration requirement anyways...

Stay away from the main riding areas like Brandywine. There are sooo many amazing places on the sea to sky corridor where you can ride your snowbike where sleds can't go!

That being said, I have my bike registered but it is not street legal anyway.

I left the plate on my 350exc. Only question I have is about insurance. Per the new ORV you only need 3rd party liability for FSRs but not crown land, meaning where we ride these bikes insurance is not required, or? Is my road plate still valid if the insurance on it has expired?
