BC Licence question

Ok, make a long story short, I've been without a licence for the past few months. Stupid me. I know.
But what gets me is that I went to get it back(paid my penance) and they tell me that it's suspended again because of 2 speeding tickets from last summer that were never processed.(apparently cops have up to a year to submit tickets)
What I can't understand is that I've re-insured my truck since those tickets, and at the time I couldn't insure the truck without paying for those exact tickets. So I thought all was well. Paid up, all that crap behind me, I can start over again. Wrong.
Even though I paid for the tickets and have since re-insured my truck I just now get penalized for it? Does the right hand not talk to the left hand?

I've been on the phone with them for a good portion of the morning wasting time and get told this? How can I go to ICBC and pay my fines, re-insure my truck, loose my licence, pay my penance, and then these two speeding tickets come back and bite me in the a$$?

This isn't an un-processed ticket issue. It's ICBC being able to go back up to 2 years and re-fine you based on the fact that you had 2 tickets in one calendar year. I was told that I was lucky that I only had to pay 300 bucks for these extra points on my license.

The only thing that this changes is that I will now look closely at every ticket I get and if it looks like I have a chance of winning, I'm fighting it. It's no longer the price on the ticket. It's the extras.

No kiddin. I mentioned to a lawyer friend of mine what was happening and he said to fight every single ticket. Worst case scenario is that I have to pay the ticket in the end. Absolute idiocy.

We;; went down to an office and the woman helping me said she would take my $131 to renew my licence but said in a week to 10 days I'd get another letter saying to hand my licence in again. I dont understand. It's so bassackwards. Still scratching my head.

Hey Reeber, just a suggestion. Yer fight sounds like it will be a painful 1. Go in pay everything up front and get it overwith. Then slowdown a bit so you can see that radar gun being pointed at ya bro. Save the speed for the hills man. I got dinged twice in July of 96' and the total bill back then including fines and points just about killed me. Remember no matter how fast ya go ya still end up at the same red light as the granny next to ya............

You're right, slowing down won't kill anyone.
