Bbq at glacier creek 26th

Whatcom county snowmobile club will hosting a bbq at Glacier Creek this sat the 26th. All families welcome. Roy is going to groom down into the bowl and a hill there for the kids to sled down. Heck I might even go for a tube ride. The bbq will be set up in the bowl as well. Why do burgers taste so good on the mountain?

Take the Mt.Baker Hwy go through the town of Glacier. After you leave town you will go up a hill and the Glacier creek road will be on your right hand side. Around a mile after you leave town. If you get to the Chair 9 restuarant or snowwater resort you have gone to far. Its also on the State map for snow parks.

Very little parking up there less than canyon creek forshure.

The snow is all the way down to the Hwy. There is 2 ft there. Roy groomed today and in the bowl he built up berms for shelter. He will be grooming again late Friday afternoon so w e will have a good groomed trail for everyone. With the trail groomed down into the bowl this will make great access for everyone. He did plow the road to the gravel pit so there should be plenty of parking and turnaround space. If you have never been to this area before and are not comfortable driving on steep roads you might want to park at the bottom of the hill by the bridge. The road is Farley steep right off the get go.
