Battery Tender

All,

I have a 15' Husky 501 - When I put a tender on it the fuel pump will turn on. I've spoke to my dealer and he said he has heard of this on many Huskys.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do to allow a tender to be on the battery?

Something is wrong. I am guessing something in one of your switches or the switch wiring.

Disconnect the ground wire on the battery.

Buddy's ktm 500 does same thing. Seems voltage sensitive. Only did it when voltage was above 14v. I don't think he ever solved the puzzle.

Bergs do it also. Just disconnect bike wires from battery.

Weird. Quite positive that 450sx doesn't do it.

You will have to disconnect the battery from bike. Same thing happens on ktm 500.

PITA to take the seat off every time and disconnect the battery. I was hoping for a more simple solution.

Put a disconnect switch in line on the ground cable.
