Battery Issue? Electrical system is down

How much does or can the battery affect the electrical system of a sled. I've got an electric start ski doo 800 2006 and am having issues with the electrical system now. I've got headlights, and my tach reads rpm's but won't light up or display the odometer. I've also got no reverse, no tail lights and I don't think my handwarmers are working either... what do you guys think... I was reading around and it sounded like it could be a bad battery. How would i test for that or what else would you suggest. I don't have a battery charger. It also runs really poorly.

Disconnect it and see how it runs.

Cell could have shorted out. I've had that happen on my truck.

I ended up finding a blown fuse, and replaced it but now the engine light is flashing... my e start still doesn't work but all my other electrical stuff came back... should i take it in to a shop to get the engine light turned off?

If it's still giving you a code, there's still something wrong. Fix what's wrong and the light will go away.

It's not like OBD-II where the code latches the engine light and has to be erased with a computer.
