Battery icon blinking on startup?

Got a problem with the electrical on my sled. Sometimes when i start it, i got a yellow light blinking, and the battery icon blinking to, when i try to give some throttle it bogs and spits, until i give it full throttle and the yellow light an battery icon disapears and slud rund like normal again until turned of again.

Smells like a bad regulator or what?

Did have a wideband gauge connected to DC plug behind instrument, but disconnected when this problem started, but problem is still there.

My sled did this when my fuel pump was giving problems. I was running 100LL and it apparently "dried" it out. I added some oil to the tank and it almost immediately fixed the problem so I know that what the issue was. I still replaced the pump, but just saying. At this time I also swapped out the regulator & capacitor before figuring out it was the pump that was causing the problems.
What kind of gas are you running?

Thanks! would be weird that the fuel pump would be bad allready tough, sled has run 211miles. Running straight 91 premium gas with extra oil added because of the turbo.

Will i be able to diagnose my problem with the Polaris Digital Wrench program?

Sunvang - My sled does the same as yours. I have a 13 Silber Turbo on my 12 Pro with 600mi. I run straight 100LL but mix in a pint of oil per tank on fuel. It has been a steady decline since the turbo was put on. At first it was just a little funky idle every once in a while, then it was doing that more often and gauge lights start going out or lean running, to now the yellow light and battery icon showing on mfd all the way up to clutch engagement, head lights dim and tail light flickering, back light in mfd going off and on......but its weird after you get it to come out of it by driving then it seems fine until you shut it off and restart again.
What is going on and how do I fix it????

The turbo gauges are taking up to much of the dc power, taking the power away from the fuel pump... That's why once you rev it up its fine..(also afr sensor will draw even more power on a cold start up as it heats itself up)

Pick up a rectifier and convert ac to dc, and leave the stock dc for the fuel pump.

My oil pump is plugged into DC power. My o2 sensor is plugged into AC power (I think) behind the lights.
How does this translate as far as drawing too much juice and does it matter if its too much draw on DC or AC current?
Are all the lights on AC current and the rest of the electronics on DC?

If you are plugged into the plug by the lights u are using dc power. The plug says ACC PWR, ie. Accessory power. This is the same circuit everyone else is talking about.

Do a search there is very long and informational thread currently running in this very section about this very topic

When mine started doing this last spring I had a Poo dealer in West Yellowstone plug in the digi wrench and there was no recorded history of a problem nor could they see a problem.
They also didn't want to hear anything about the fact that I thought it was the fuel pump cause I read about it on the internet. It turned out being the fuel pump. LOL:face-icon-small-win

Haha. Well glad you found out your problem :)
I know the dealer real well, so wont be a problem getting new parts on warranty to try. Will try a new regulator, and converting ac to dv, to power the a/f reader.

Thanks turbo matt. I saw the other thread. I am going to put a small battery in and power my turbo electronics. If that doesnt stop the problem then i will have to keep digging.
