Baker...??

Can anyone tell me if Baker is really getting the snow that they say... 2-3ft??? I'd like to at least get a decent road ride in somewhere... Any suggestions on where to go..?

Baker currently is getting pounded with snow, feet not inches unfortunately it's at the higher elevations like Retodd said, and you're unable to get to the higher elevations until there is at least two feet of snow in Schrieber meadows, I'm guessing the meadows are around 3,800-4,000 feet then there's the snowbridge to deal with, it takes a while for that to build up. The snowlevel needs to drop quite a bit to ride the roads at Baker, as far as a road ride goes (early) best bet would be Smithbrook Stevens pass around 4,000 feet where you unload, probably a little patience would be best though. It will be here soon enough, no sense in breaking stuff before the season starts.

Patience is right...this time of year is pure torture!! And I got my kid a sled to go with,,,,so now he get's to be tortured as well....

Stampede/GC road ride will probably be before Baker get's the snowbridge developed. Plus no worries about breaking stuff.

Anderson Whatson

Took a drive up to anderson on sunday, no snow until 4900' & then just a dusting, temp just needs to drop. Its plenty wet.

You may want to check with the local forest service office. Most places are closed to sledding unitl Nov 1. It's still hunting season and sleds are not welcome .

that is golden info right there...

when do the snowparks require the vehicle passes? i haven't gotten my tabs yet either and can't remember, isn't that nov 15th or Dec 1st?

Just put some ice down your pants and pop in a sled video I would think you can drive up stampeded and park and ride tacoma pass by next week. I am with you guys cant wait!!!!

I just checked my new permit it says nov-april does not specify date.

passes are required once they begin plowing and post the "no wheeled vehicles beyond this point" signs.
