Just my opinion, but using Easter as a reason doesn't fly.
What about the next 2 years when Easter is on April 4 (the first weekend in April)?? Then will it be ok to move to the second weekend?
I know you cant accomodate everyone's schedule, but enough people have requested the second weekend, and I didn't see one objection. The more people you can get up there, the better for the fund raising.

My birthday is April 3rd, and I have the weekend off from work. Im trying to talk my mom into letting me and dad head up either on the B-day or super early sat. (Chelan to Baker is like 7 hours???). Anyways, im kina glad its then, great birthday present, first I gotta get my swing/trail arm fixed (Damn rock...).

I think if you want the club to bbq then you got to go with what is convenient to them. you don't care about that then set up a weekend after that and see who shows. I will come up on the 4th. it is easier for me since the kids like to do the easter thing.
Going out on a limb here... But i bet there will be a ton of people on the 4th just like last year and the party on Friday night will be just a crazy... I think those who were there last year would skip a Desert race for an awesome weekend on Baker...

It has never been mentioned that this was the most convenient weekend for the club. Easter was the reason given for "keeping" it the first weekend in April...my point is that the next 2 years Easter is the first weekend in April, so will it still be held the first weekend in April then?
Since the Desert 100 and the BIS are always the first weekend in April, and Easter sometimes falls on the first weekend and sometimes on the second weekend (and the club is using Easter as the reasoning for this year)...maybe the 3rd weekend in April would be more appropriate as a permanent date, or the last weekend in March.
And I'll ignore your d!ckhead comment about setting up a different weekend.
The club held quite a discussion on this and there are several reasons for not moving it this year...of which Easter was ONE. There is a lot of work behind the scenes for events like this and changing it this year just did not make sense.
We want the most people to attend as possible, just like everyone out there. We apologize for not being able to change it this year and hope you can make it next year.

Where do people stay at baker? I think im comin from a 7hr drive and is my only option a hotel? Thanks guys.
Most people camp up in the snopark. The best hotel would be in Sedro-Woolley. That puts you about a half hour or so from the snopark. The hotel is The Three Rivers Hotel. If you search hotels stay way from the Skagit Motel... Just some advice..

I've been to the BSO the last 3 years and had a riot. But I'm a powderhound so depending on snow conditions.... very good chance I'll be missing it this year.
It's easy to choose BSO when there is nothing else going on in the NW that weekend. But Revy pow and big HP sleds doing crazy chutes very well might win the coin toss this year for this girl. 1200cc - if you're gonna pray.... pray for sunshine and powder!

Honestly i am heart broken you are going to Canada!! Just order the DVD from Revy when it comes out... The cool kids are going to Baker.....

It will be easier to change it next yr and the yrs after if decided to later but it is pretty close now and probably hard to get the club to change there plans.
it doesn't matter to me what weekend it is

The snowline is usually up high enough that people are able to park all along the side of the road above the first parking lot.Last time I went the club did a awsome job of having a turnaround at the snow line so people could drive up,turn around,and then park so they were facing the right way to get out after the day was over.
Ok, sweet. This should be the best birthday present ever.
If we all start praying for sunshine and powder then the parking will be in the pit again!!!! Mr.prez is always up there a day early helping people park so we can pack it full!!
