Baker shoot out?

Any idea where the parking will be for the shoot out this year? I have a lot of beer to take with me so I'll need extra room!!!! :)

Thanks snowmoherb.. Unfortunately no update yet.

Anyone know where the snow line starts now?

its snowing hard at the y (3rd lot) a couple inches at the 2nd or 1st parking lot. looks like we might be able to go up quit aways this year. this is all the info my friend gave me he just went up there to drop off some stuff for the shootout

I am staying at the first lot--and if need be--trailer the sleds up--it will be alot easier than dealing with the small lot above and not as muddy as lot 2--forecast is for snow friday afternoon and night and then all saturday thru sunday--so it will be what it is and enjoy---see all ya yahoo's up there!!

Newbie to the shootout..... will be heading up Friday after work with camper/two place trailer.....is the lower lot off of FSR 13? I understand people arrive early say like wed or Thur ( kind of what I did last weekend arriving early at the Stump jumpers Desert 100 race in Odessa Wa).... I figure the closer lot to the mountain will be full so does one recommend staying lower down the road? And if so where?

The NW Glacier Cruisers has asked that Motorhomes and Campers stay in Lot 1 and 2 and save lot 3 for trailers and sleddecks. Sounds like lot 1 will be were the gathering will be--may have to trailer the sleds up to the snow line.

As for the snow line--it is above the switchbacks as of today, but should be lowering thursday and agian on friday night and saturday as they are calling for---SNOW!!

See you all up there!!

NW Freeriders will be doing some jumps by the barbeque if there is any visibility saturday and all 3 manufacturers will be there with Demo sleds for you to ride as well---Come and enjoy!!

Newbie

hey guys...total newbie to the shootout and baker. legitimately, is it possible to drive up Saturday....enjoy the time...and come home Saturday evening? I was thinking it would be a great time but don't want to get in over my head with parking and baker being what it is.

Let me know either here or by PM.

I have done that in years past....go early and parking will be OK...maybe. The weather might keep some people away. Dont worry about finding your way, just follow the crowd and once on the mountain its very easy to find your way around as long as visibility is good....if socked in, dont even bother trying to head up the mountain, just enjoy the festivities and maybe play in the trees down low.

Ok...I think im going to try it. How early is early? I just have a full sized half ton and a 2 place so not huge. Will I know where I am supposed to park or is common sense enough? :-) (keep in mind I have never been so "at the Y" and things like that are only mildly meaningful)
