1st off.. sorry to read the other baker thread and the carnage and troubles.. glad everyone made it safe tho.. saw some thick sluffs at the end of the day up yonder..
on to report -- May 9th
what a killer day! we arrived early to only 3 vehicles gearing up.. and parked right at the snow line of the road..
sled2shred and I geared up ourselves and headed on up.. once up through the meadows the sun was already getting pretty hot and i realized i had no sunblock.. ouch! that don't stop ya from a killer day of riding though.. onwards we trucked up up and up to the glacier section beings the 1st in the area, we stop and revel on the scenery.. then over to a little place S2S likes to play i'm calling "hot cheese".. we didn't see any other sleds i dont think for the 1st 3 to 4 hours almost.. having zones to yourself is always awesome.. we stayed safe and aware and away from danger prone spots all day.. no sluff here! left the truck at little after 9am and got back at 5pm almost out of gas..
we actually brought snowboards and did some snowboard runs too.. not much, but double duty was pretty rad still..
anyways.. on with some media i suppose.. mostly kewl shots with great mt baker scenery backgrounds
we finally ended the day with a nice mellow ride out the blue lake trail which was defneitely the way to head snow wise..
took way to many pics to post right now..
i am still recovering from lobster face-anitis..
what a great day for May9th
