Backup spring on oil pump??

My pump is starting to stick open, would like to see what others have done as far as adding extra spring. Thanks in advance.

Do you have the FBF cable?

I've seen people use a spring inline on the oil pump arm, just get a spring long enough to fit inside there and thread it over the cable, that will keep outward pressure on the arm. That's what I did, until I got the new cable.

i put a secondary return spring on all our 900's the pumps sometimes get sticky and even with the fbf cable the pump sticks open some.

i just made a bracket and bolted it to one of the bottom throttle body boot bolts and found a light spring that worked.

After taking pipe, plentum off, did full inspection and cable was not binding, pump spring is just too week to work when any debris build up happens so installes a carberator style spring from pump arm to Y-Pipe bolt. Works great now. Thanks for all the help guys.
