Backcountry Edition fox float upgrade

Yes, I have it and it is worth every penny! It is a completely different skid now. It finally works like it should have from the factory :D

Way better than stock, I have about 200 miles on a 2010 m8 sp with it and ti is a totally diff sled with it. Its a bump eating monster now.

Take the shocks off and send them back to fox...Just hope the guy workin on the shocks is smarter than the one that answers the phone...what a burnout.

Burandt Upgrade

I have had this done to my 2008 M8 SnoPro. I love it! Definatly worth the price paid. I also went one step further and had the fronts done as well. I now have Float 2's on the front. I would recommend the upgrade:D

Thats no ****, love the feel (brief ride) of my newly valved fox shocks, but the guy on the wasnt exactly helpful in answering questions and helping with the processs..

Did anyone do this upgrade themselves or do you have to send the shocks to a shock place? Also can the front ones be done aswell?

what about the Holtz set up? anyone tried it?

I went with Holz on my stock '09 M8 162. Previous sled was '06 M7 and my '09 M8 felt heavy up front and did not transfer enough weight for me last year. I now have 2 rides on the Holz set up and it is much improved over stock for my riding preferences. I experimented with a few different preload settings on the front spring and pressure settings in the Float. Also, tried a couple different preloads on the ski springs.

I jumped on a friends M7 for the a few miles heading back to the truck and the M7 still feels much lighter up front and transfers substantially more. After getting used to the rear suspension my M8, I am appreciating it more with each ride after the Holz set up. I am not sure I want all the transfer of the M7 but may try to find a little more with set up than I have now.

Good Sleddin!
