pulled out my yz250f and rode the snowmobile trails to see if enough snow had melted to drive my pickup with snowbike to north facing snow I can ride. Not quite yet. But wow, after a season on my wr450 snowbike, the yz250 felt feather weight but felt like it had no suspension, reminded me that snow sure smooooths out the terrain, a wheel on front felt weird but nice and light.
4" of new snow last night down low so bright sun and new snow on melted out trails, got a little tooo frisky feet up powering through the new snow and some old snow patch's and finally hit a hidden wet log under the new snow, going to be sore tomarrow.
so looks like next snobike ride will have to be to the top of Lolo pass, upside is this time of year nobody there. downside is its good old lolo pass.
