800HO has castings that are chassis specific, and bypass cooling, which may require a different approach in the current Pro chassis (the non-Pro RMK has a by pass, e.g.). Different intake, also. But we know why there's a Golden Ticket for 2016. 16 will be a huge year for the RMK.

Cruising through Axys stuff, looked like they applied the more forward position of the RMK - the RMK team years ago nailed the position, which is why I think the current RMK is the most rider centered, easiest pow sled, in 2015 (I'm doubting the 15 Summit will be an orbit changer).

If you have a 13 or 14, you should at least be pleased that your sled just didn't get spanked on current value - until 16.

New Snowest contest - Who's the first to re-tunnel, re-arm, and longtrack the Axys? It would be fun to work on.

I don't understand why polaris puts so much stock in the junk suspension design. I mean if it was so good why don't the race sleds use it? What wins Sunday sells Monday

The "junk" suspension design took 1st and 3rd in the Iron Dog race this year... That is what the rush switchback was really designed for, cross country not snowcross. I am excited to see the axys in the mountain segment, but looks like I am skipping a year in snowcheck. With the whopping 189 miles I put on this year on my sled makes it hard to justify selling it for the same thing I have now.

Keep in mind when the rush first came out it had problems staying together in the iron dog, I suspect it will happen again with the axys. :face-icon-small-win

I would think the suspension is nothing that could be installed on a mountain sled anyway.
What kind of a tunnel would it take to handle that set up on a 174 3" lol. It would also bring in a new meaning to "snow build up" lol and new videos with more truth to them from "other brands".

Bulk head maybe, some plastic probably (but I hope not) and motor may come from the AXYS to the next gen. of RMK. I don't even see the new steering being any use on a mountain sled because we really don't steer in the mountains. Bar movement helping you stay comfortably in the proper position is more important.

Reality. Hard to improve on the handles of the Pro for the mountains. Their giving out some nicer suspension to help though. Most of the `15`s as they will be ordered will be heavier on the floor than the original 417 lb `13.

So,,, rather then dress up a trail set-up into a mountain sled, I hope those mountain guys at Poo said "not yet" and it wasn't the bean counters balancing out sales.

Next RMK should have plastic that sheds the snow off the top and a tunnel that does the same without paint and keep the same geometry for trackshaft to center of gravity and front arm mount to center of gravity and a 872 lol motor because we start with less HP.

Any pics yet?
